They do have breakfast items and lunch/dinner items so I guess you could make a brunch. They do not have an assigned time for brunch.
Great ambiance. Food was okay.
Typical chain restaurant. Service was merely adequate for your table of 8, especially considering it wasn't that busy. Food was okay but bland. Even for what should have been a flavorful and spicy shrimp and pasta dish. Was relatively expensive as well with most plates around $15-18. Averaged $20 a person. I wouldn't necessarily go back.
Comfortable environment. No gluten-free items.
I am giving this one star because the food was actually good. The service on the other hand was awful!!!! We arrived and were seated, there was hardly anybody in the dining area, we had ordered our drinks and dinner and then waited a total of 52 minutes before receiving our drinks. At that time we actually got water with the drinks we ordered. A few minutes later we got our food, so here we waited a long time to get our drinks and food and then the waitress decided she had to add 20% gratuity to our bill. Never ever will we eat there again!
Like their omelette! Pizza good too!
Used to love it but everything but the bartenders was awful. Out of signature menu items at 5 pm. Ran out of mashed potatoes. How is that even possible? Might need a new chef if they can't even come up with those in the fly.
My server was terrible today, from the first I the first interaction. I was clearly an inconvenience for her, in an almost empty restaurant. The Manager was just the same. It’s a shame I won’t be patronizing them any longer. It was close to work and their food is pretty decent. Overprice commercial food, but it has good taste.
Great service, food/pizza just came out cold. Seems like my food sat out for a long while before it was actually served.
Very delicious and the best alfredo pasta every time I eat there, also really good wings, great dining room atmosphere, and excellent chef, I love eating here.
I'm only giving this one star because I can't give it 0 stars. I have never been to a restaurant and had such horrible service and questionable food. Everything about this visit was awful. A waitress that never came by, asked for water 3 times and never received any, waited 25 minutes from drink order to order our food, something very strange in one of the meals, no bread with one meal which was supposed to come with and then when asked where the bread was, was told they were out. One from our table ordered her meal with no green onions and it came covered in them. Then to top it off, they added a 20 percent gratuity to the bill. ...which certainly was not deserved. Spoke to a manager who took the gratuity off and took a bit off of the bill but we will NEVER be eating here again.
Wausau location has always been a favorite due to the staff. If the food falls short they take care of it, but there is not often an issue. We are looking forward to visiting again once they are open. Good luck GM.
Was here with family. Service was alright. The place wasn't very busy so I didn't completely understand the slower service. Food was run of the mill of any other place. Which is not surprising because almost all restaurants buy from the same food supplier. Just pay attention to the delivery trucks that show up and then cross the street to deliver to the other restaurants.
The fettuccine alfredo and the service was excellent
A lady named Mary there was very rude to me saying it was too busy there to deal with me and she kept saying it would take 20 minutes and I told her ok no problem. She then had me call Doordash because she said the order was cancelled before she would send it through. I told her it wasn't and tried to explain to her but she kept being rude. So I called. After she knew I was right she then kept telling me she didn't want to deal with me. I asked way she was being rude to me? She said I'm not then said she doesn't want to talk to some kid anymore and I remind her of her grandkids and I need to know when to keep my mouth shut when she wants it shut and told me I had to wait outside! She then told me she's the manager if I had any complaints. Wow! About 1000 dashes And never had problems like this. If I have to wait I just look at my phone for a bit but she wouldn't stop saying she didn't want to deal with me when I was just sitting there.
Stayed at the hotel and in the room there is an advertisement that boasts "everyone smiles when kids eat free. See kids menu for program details." We made a call and ordered food 3 adults and 2 kids, to be picked up. We were quoted 28$ made sense, kids free. Went down to pay, rang up at 54$... seemed odd. We called down, and were told the program only applies to dine in customers (understandable, but we were not told this) and they INTENTIONALLY do not include kids menus in the rooms, odd choice when your partner (holiday inn) is referring to the kids menu in each room to bring customers to you. Manager was very rude about the situation. Seems like your customers are suffering for lack of clear advertising of incentive programs, AND lack of training to said incentive programs. I do not think it is a stretch to tell your customers who call in for a take out order, specifically citing this special, that you must dine-in for it to apply.
We had stopped here one other time and really liked the choices and flavors. Unfortunately, this time didn't come off as well. Our virgin marys tasted like tomato juice with no kick. I'm afraid i balked at my meal because the meat was mostly fat...like a very thick cut bacon. I can imagine some people enjoying it, but the texture and grease involved didn't work for me. However, i loved the sauce which was SUPER spicy to make up for my virgin mary. The person with me had nachos from the appetizer menu and really enjoyed them. The service was also very good, attentive, and multiple people were around to ask how things were. The only thing that bothered me for that was when i responded that i didn't like the meat, and it wasn't for me, there was no remorse shown...no apology, nothing. I didn't expect a discount or a free meal, but it would have been nice to know that the staff cared if a diner wasn't enjoying their meal.
Great service. Great food. Great drinks. What else can you ask for. The waitress Dodie was helpful explaining all the different dishes and made great recommendations.
Good spot for a hotel eatery. I like their flat bread pizza.
The pasta is good and the people are nice. Great location as its connected to the hotel.
Friendly staff, nice place for drinks. Sunday special drink is the Bloody Mary.
I really enjoy both my time and the food at Green Mill! Everything is so full of flavor, and the atmosphere is calming and enjoyable! I am a bit disappointed at the minimal options for vegetarian replacements, but that is minor when compared to their full menu! I would definitely recommend this place to anybody (but especially to large families. Get the Pizza and Wings special!)
Good food. Pizza special was well worth the price. Excellent service in the bar.
First time here as I am from out of state. Everything was great. Paige was my waitress and is super nice!! I had chicken parmesan which was very delicious!!I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We had excellent service here and I loved the hot salad choices! Excellent healthy options!
Food and drinks were good. Service left room for improvement. Waitress seem to be more interested in taking her smoke break than making sure I had silverware to eat with or bread with my meal.
The new Manager Kay was wonderful. She personally sat me at my table. I expressed my hesitance about trying GM again after a bad experience. The service was exceptional and the chef Goatman I think they call him makes the best brushetta anywhere. Thank you Kay and her staff for a great evening. You rock
Good food and nice service!
This is the second time in a row that I took my wife here and the service has been terrible. The first time the tables were sticky and our waitress never came around after we ordered food so we never had a chance for refills. Our second time we called ahead and made a reservation for our Valentines date. After being seated we waited for about 10 minutes without ever seeing anyone. We told this to the hostess. Twice. After 25 minutes we left and went to another restaurant. I don't know if we will ever come back. My advice is to not go here. If you have to go, get your food, drinks, and check immediately and sit at the bar.Edit: I've already sent a review on the link Green Mill sends. It barely ever works. Almost always ends in an error.
Very friendly waitress (Danni), great selection of food and drinks. Very clean and great atmosphere!
My burger took forever it took 1 hour and it was good but they messed it up there was tomatoes what would of happened if I didn't open the burger what if I was allergic to tomatoes my friends mom burger was disgusting and dry. Dont go here.
Clean and friendly. Great selection and quality, good service.
I got food poisoning and a McDonald's Burger was better then the one i got.
Green Mill is such a elegant and cute looking restaurant! It's tucked away so it's easy to miss this gem in the Wausau area. If you're ever craving the freshness of Italian bread, or the aroma of their Chicago style pizza, this is the place to go! There are many different styles of pizza, pasta and GREAT ITALIAN BREAD!
I've had a salad that was mouth watering and pizza that was wonderful. The waitstaff was very good I sat in the bar area both times. I read well taken care of. I would recommend them any time. I have eaten at Green Mills in different cities and they have e always been great.
Extremely rude to-go orders setup and servers don't even look at the to-go orders the host has to take care of it
On Wednesday, June 26, we had a surprise 60th birthday party for my sister. My family came from all over the country to attend. We had reserved the indoor patio room with about 30 family members in attendance. The party was perfect! Our servers and bar tenders were Heather and Doedie and they were absolutely amazing. They couldn't do enough for us. The buffet was always refilled and Heather and Doedie took care of our every request with a smile. They were so delightful to work with. They did everything possible to make our party a total success. Thenk-you Doedie and Heather!!!!
Their menu and quality of the their food is top notch. Any time I get an opportunity to visit a Green Mill I take advantage it. If you haven't been there I highly recommend it. Full bar as well if one is looking to have an adult beverage with their meal. Enjoy!
Great food. Great service. Plenty of tvs for different games to keep entertained. Beer was amazingly cold. Overall I couldn't have been happier
Friendly staff and atmosphere. Prices a bit high but all and all good experience.
I had a wonderful experience today. Went in with no idea what to get, and the employee at the counter, Mary, was extremely friendly and helpful in explaining the different items on the menu. I was really impressed by the options, and loved her friendly and helpful attitude. Will definitely come back again.
We traveled from Stevens Point just to come to the Green Mill on a Friday night. When we arrived, we learned that it would be a long wait. Mary the manger saw this disappointment in our eyes, and said “Give me 5 minutes” She got us seated, and pampered us the rest of our visit. Thank you for making our night, Mary! The Boomers.
You’ve got to try the bruschetta!
Stayed here for a few days last week for work. Pizza and onion Rings were pretty tasty. Staff was friendly. We decided to come back to the hotel after a work meeting on a cold day and meet some co workers for some beer and a late lunch (around 2:15pm)Come to find out the restaurant and bar CLOSED from 2-5. No notice at check in of hotel only notice we got was when we walked down to the restaurant and read the notice on the door. When I asked front desk staff they informed me there’s new management and they are trying new things out. Not a good thing considering the restaurant is connected to the hotel and convenient for some guests. We decided to go to The Bar of Wausau which was a block away from hotel and will more than likely go there for food and drinks from now on. Not a good move.
We got pizza after a long day of skiing, and it was amazing! My family ate in a little offshoot room, and it was peaceful. There's lots of fun things on the wall to read, and the server was great.
Great service. Very personable.
This place is fine if you're a guest of the hotel and don't have a smartphone to Google other places to eat. Very typical hotel restaurant food, priced as if it's a level more classy then it really is. I do enjoy their pizza, but for the price, there's better options in town.
Had the brunch, eggs we all overcooked, hashbrown were from frozen squares, the carved beef was good, looked like old carrots, have always enjoyed the salads at lunch, won't do brunch again.
Glass of 7up at bar over $3.00, I have eaten here before Great Food
